Transcription formats:  I can accept most formats including .dss, wma, aif, wav, MP3) and these can be sent via email, DVD or CD. Alternatively a simple quick and secure way of sending files is by using the link Send This File listed below. We will also pdf all work if required.

Note:  Dictation will take up to four hours to transcribe.  This time limit can also be affected dependant upon the clarity of the transcriber and tape, the speed at which the person speaks and content of tape (technical terms used).

Below are a few tips to help save time and money for both transcriber and transcriptionist:

Clarity is very important.  Speak slowly, spelling any names or technical terms.

  • Try to dictate in an area where there is no background noise. The microphone will pick this up and clarity would be lost.
  • If possible, do not use the voice activation feature if your transcriber has this feature.  If used some of the dictation at the beginning of transcription can be lost.
  • Use conference microphone is recording meetings to ensure all conversations can be picked up by the microphone.
  • If minutes of meetings are to be transcribed please have each speaker identify themselves to denote who is speaking.
